This is a shifter cable bracket for use with a K20z3 transmission utilizing 9th Gen Civic Si or Acura ILX shift cables and a Honda CRZ shifter box. It corrects the misalignment issue where the shift lever is not centered in the shifter box making it difficult to get into reverse. This bracket is ONLY for use with K20z3 transmission, 9th Gen Si or ILX cables, and CRZ shift box and no other combinations.
Installation
Apply a small amount of blue Loctite to the threads of each of the three supplied bolts and torque them to 12ft-lbs. Don’t not over tq the bolts past 12ft-lbs
When installing the two retainer clips that hold the shift cables to the bracket slowly and gently tap them into place with a rubber or plastic mallet. The brackets are made of carbon fiber and can break.
Removal
When removing the retainer clips from the bracket use a flathead screwdriver and only pry against the metal clips and the metal collar on the shift cables. Never pry against the bracket itself
